About Montana River Outfitters

Since 1977 Montana River Outfitters has provided float trips on the Missouri, Smith and other area rivers of central and western Montana. Montana River Outfitters offers several different types and styles of trips, including scenic, historic, white water, fishing, and horseback/float combination trips. Trips vary in length from 1/2 to 7 days.

We specializes in fishing trips on the famous tail-water section of the Missouri River below Holter Dam, and the incredibly beautiful Smith River Canyon. We offer horsepack/ float trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, one of the most remote wilderness area in the lower 48. Additional services for renting and purchasing equipment.
