Major highways east-west are US Highway 2 on the northern border of the region and Montana Highway 200 passing through the middle of Montana. I-15 takes travelers north-south and goes to the US/Canada border where there is a 24-hour port of entry. US Highway 89 is also a north-south route and includes the Kings Hill Scenic Byway through the Little Belt Mountains and then continues along the east slope of the Rocky Mountains.
