Jo Dee Messina is an American country music singer and songwriter known for her energetic style and powerful vocals. Rising to fame in the late 1990s with hits like “Heads Carolina, Tails California” and “I’m Alright,” she became the first female country artist to achieve three multiple-week number-one singles from the same album.
Over her career, she has earned six number-one Billboard country singles, multiple industry awards, and over 5 million records sold. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2017, Messina's music began to reflect her deep Christian faith. She continues to tour, release new music, and engage in philanthropy, including work with the Special Olympics.
