Montana’s Harvest Time

I was trying to reach someone the other day, I left a message on his voice mail and waited several days. I ended up calling someone else I knew in that small town and he said…be patient, you know it’s harvest time. And, that it is!

When I’m driving down the highway in August I want to shout out and tell all of our visitors that this is what was meant by the words to the song about waving fields of grain.

This photo is west of Belt, Montana looking south and the Little Belt Mountains are in the background.

Most area crops look pretty good. I’m not an agriculture expert but I think our producers will be glad to get this one in the bin.

North central Montana is referred to as the Golden Triangle because of all of the wheat grown here. It’s a spectacular sight to see combines in the field.
