About VFW Campground
Tiber Reservoir, also known as Lake Elwell, was formed when Tiber Dam was built on the Marias River in the early 1950s, and has been a favorite recreational site for boating, fishing and camping since that time. While you're at Lake Elwell, you can view windblown sandstone formations, teepee rings, and one of the largest earthen dikes in the world, which is over three miles long! A unique birdwatching area is located along the Marias River below Tiber Dam.
The VFW Campground offers primitive camping, boat ramp and picnic shelter. There is no water. Please limit your stay to 14 days.
