The McDades’ music, rooted in Celtic tradition, blends the spontaneity of jazz improvisation with irresistible global rhythms. Siblings Shannon, Solon, and Jeremiah—winners of a Juno Award for Best Roots Album and three Canadian Folk Music Awards—create a sound that, as the London Free Press describes, “finds its groove somewhere between a down-home kitchen party, a jazzy after-hours club, and a folk festival.”
