Event Details

The annual Buffalo Kite Festival fills the sky with artist-made kites. Terry Zee Lee, who coordinated the Lewis and Clark kite display at the Great Falls airport, has worked with Native American artists from around the country to develop buffalo-themed kites. View their creations, speak with the artists, and watch as the kites take flight.

The weekend will include a brief introduction describing the project and explaining the buffalo art on the kites. Visitors may also try their hands at shooting a primitive bow and arrow or atlatl, making their own Traditional Native Game pieces, and much more. Vintage Nan's Indian Taco truck will be on-site for refreshment needs. Kite making kits will be available to purchase for $5 per kit, or bring your own and join in the fun

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. both days
