The City of Shelby will celebrate the Centennial 100th Anniversary celebration of the Dempsey vs. Gibbons World Heavyweight Championship Fight on July 4, 2023!
Plans are in the works for a Centennial Parade, Picnic, Museum Open House, Champions Park Dedication, Boxing Bouts, Live Music and Fireworks!
Help us celebrate the Fight That Won’t Stay Dead! See you ringside!
Schedule of Events:
- 8am Flag ceremony - LDS church
- 8-9:3am - Free will breakfast at LDS church
- 10am - Car Show
- 10am -2pm - Picnic at the Fire Hall
- 1 - 4pm - Marias Museum Open House
- 3pm - BOXING!
- 7-10:30pm - Mainstreet music
- 10:30pm - Fireworks on Main
