Sharing Central Montana
Posted January 21, 2013
Central Montana had a booth at the International Sportsmen’s Expo in Denver, CO last week to tout the benefits of a visit to the tourism region.
Initial estimates for attendance at the sportsmen show came in at around 40,000 – oh yeah, lots of people! Attendees were lined up each morning for the four-day show, waiting for doors to open.
Lots of folks were interested in fishing and many wanted information about upland game bird hunting. We always seem to have interest in big game hunting and a few former Montana residents talked about the Come Home Montana program that Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks manages.
Central Montana’s new 2013 travel planner was hot off the press and it was in demand. The CD version of the new travel planner was also given out.
We took some of the “Get Lost in Montana” bumper stickers and asked folks to send a photo of it on their bumper next to their Colorado license plate. Let’s hope we get some fun photos!
Next stop – the Travel & Adventure Show in Chicago next weekend.
