New Comfort Inn & Suites in Great Falls
Posted April 19, 2011
There has been some hotel transition in Great Falls the last few months – a little bit of name change, a whole lot of renovating!
The former Holiday Inn Express is now the Comfort Inn & Suites. They are located adjacent to Great Falls’ Marketplace Shopping Center, just off Exit 0 from Tenth Avenue South.
It’s always interesting to tour our lodging facilities and see the great upgrades they are doing. The Comfort Inn & Suites, which is four stories high, is renovating one floor at a time starting with the top floor. I was lucky to be invited for a tour!
Their design board is displayed in the hotel lobby with color and fabric swatches. I instantly gravitated to the warm-toned deep rust color that is used on the hallways on the fourth floor. It’s a beautiful color and even more so with sconce lighting casting a soft glow.
The suites I toured all have a two-part work station/desk that guests can arrange to their preference. When traveling and working in my hotel room I frequently find myself spreading papers all over the bed. This style of desk will be very handy!
I asked about accessible suite rooms and my tour guide showed me one, not quite completed yet, but the attention to detail was impressive. Clothes rods are lower, the iron is reachable – everything has been done right!
New light fixtures are very modern and sleek-looking. I really liked the desk lamp and the shades on the other room lamps. Accent wall colors in some rooms are a very deep purple. I was a bit leary of that but it looks stunning!
The Comfort Inn & Suites will be completely renovated from top to bottom, all rooms and the lobby area. The breakfast bar will be relocated in the hotel and the lobby will have inviting lounge chairs.
The renovation is progressing quickly – stop by for a tour!
