Ice Breaker Road Race

I could probably say that I’m one of the hearty runners in this photo taken last Sunday at Great Falls’ annual Ice Breaker Road Race. Full disclosure…I did not run in the Ice Breaker and, I didn’t even walk it!

I’m not much of a runner but I thoroughly enjoy walking so that would have been the category for me if I had entered.

The weather was definitely in theme with the race name (Ice Breaker). Darn, it was chilly. Snowflakes, at times warming enough to make a chilly rain, peppered the route Sunday. Race participants were downright cheery though and I’d say they had a grand time.

Race organizers said registrations topped 3,000. What an amazing April event for downtown Great Falls. And, next year you just may see me in this group!
