I do admire a good cup o’ joe and when I find a place that does their own roasting, grinds their beans fresh and, as a result turns out awesome coffee – well, I love it! And, I happen to believe that people on vacation in Montana have to like that too!
Snowy Mountain Coffee and Slow Rise Bakery in Harlowton (right on the corner of Central Ave across from the E-57B train engine) fits the bill for my java.
I was there last week and also timed my stop to enjoy lunch at Snowy Mountain.
The setting was perfect – lazy afternoon, sun streaming in the window, good company, and a stacked-wider-than-my mouth turkey sandwich with tomatoes that were as fresh as the ones on my vines. Ok, in addition to being a coffee snob, I’m a tomato snob too!
I could have spent the entire afternoon enjoying the ambiance of Snowy Mountain. As I left I realized I didn’t do any shopping there…local crafters and artisans have products for sale.
Next time…I’ll take more time!
