Evening Entertainment at Triple J
Posted July 2, 2010
Another meal has worked its way into my tummy. We finished supper and everyone wandered in to one of the sitting rooms in the large log lodge. A neighboring rancher was there to entertain us for the evening. We were amazed at his curly chaps and he proudly told us his family’s history of owning them.
We were treated to singing, guitar playing, cowboy poetry and just plain interesting stories. Ranching stories, cowboy stories, some humorous, some sad – all were meaningful and very interesting.
Another fun part of the evening was realizing that just 24 hours before, our group had awkwardly introduced ourselves to complete strangers and we wondered if any of us had anything in common.
After our entertainment, everyone lingered to visit with our relatively new friends and swap one more tidbit of fun we had experienced during our day of trail riding at Triple J. It was easy to realize the bond we had formed by sharing this guest ranch experience.
It was a great day at Triple J.
