About Wolf Willow Cabin

Wolf Willow Cabin

Feel the history - listen for echoes. A location that is both remote and along the way. The Pollock Ranch is just one hour south of Glacier National Park. Anne and Larry Dellwo along with their sons, daughter-in-laws and grandchildren live on this 5th generation ranch of 17,000 acres along the Rocky Mountain Front. Anne's grandparents and great grandparents homesteaded in this country in 1890. An 1885 ranch house continues to be the headquarters for the Pollock Ranch during the calving season.

Historian, Anne Dellwo has for years given the best historical tours of the area. She worked on a committee that researched and marked the Old North Trail in Teton County. The Indians followed the trail along the east side of the Rockies. Approximately 10,000 years ago it extended across from Siberia southward into Mexico. No where is the evidence of the trail more prominent than along this area of the Rocky Mountain Front.

Activities:

Anne's Old West Trail historical tour includes stories of Native American and ranching heritage. Take a guided hike along one of the oldest trails known to mankind.

Hiking and birding opportunities in the Blackleaf Canyon area are numerous.

Sit quietly at the historic Blackfeet Indian 'vision quest' markers on the bench overlooking the ranch a glimpse into this country's rich past.

Join the local ranching community for the picnic as they honor the pioneers' efforts.

Accommodations:

There are two cabins, both with inspirational views of the Rocky Mountain Front. One is fully equipped, the other more rustic and both open year-round

Coulee Cabin offers all the comforts of home with a full kitchen, bath and spacious living room. There are two hide-a-bed couches and a sleeping space in the loft with queen and two twin beds. This cabin is open year round, sleeping four to eight depending on how friendly guests are.

Duncan's Cabin has a loft and four bunk beds, sofa, propane stove and refrigerator and an outhouse (no running water).

Vacation home rental packages available.
