About Slaughter River Recreation Area
Slaughter River is a BLM recreation area located in northeast Montana on the Missouri River. At an elevation of 2,500 feet, the recreation area encompasses 42 acres. The site is not accessible by vehicle, but fishing, hunting and boating may be enjoyed at Slaughter River Recreation Area. One three sided log shelter, fire rings and vault toilets are available. Tent camping is permitted. Camping is first come, first serve. Pets are welcome. Please limit your stay to 14 days.
