Lake Frances Recreation Area is open to the public for boating, fishing and camping. There are 50 groomed campsites with electricity, picnic tables and fire pits; as well as numerous sites available for dry camping.Amenities include clean restrooms, two boat ramps, a fish cleaning station, an RV dump station with potable water fill up, children's playground and grassy area for volleyball and badminton. The Fireman's Pavilion is available for rental and is equipped with a kitchen and several tables.Walking and bike trails provide spectacular views of the Rocky Mountain front, memorable sunsets, plenty of interesting shorebirds and waterbirds to watch as well as a Great Blue Heron rookery on the nearby island. The lake is stocked with walleye and pike.

From I-15 take Valier exit onto Highway 44. West on Highway 44 for 14 miles. Continue through town and follow sign to turn left, 2nd street. Turn right on Teton. Continue onto Lake Shore Drive.From Highway 89; turn east onto Highway 44. Continue to Valier and follow signs to Lake Frances Campground.
