About Depot Museum

Depot Museum has displays of items representing the era from homesteading on. A collection of obituaries and newspaper clippings. The depot has displays of household items, a display of post offices, tools, buggy and sleigh and also clothing. We have a school house with a teacherage, all furnished with furniture and mementos of early schools. There is also a completely furnished homestead shack and a blacksmith shop with tools. Included in the museums collection is farm machinery (tractors, threshing machinery etc.), refurbished 1928-31 trucks, old time harvesting equipment, headers, threshing machines, etc.

The Hi-Line Vintage Auto Museum- displays autos from 1905 to 1970s.

The Rudyard area has provided dinosaur specimens for the Museum of the Rockies (MOR) and other premier institutions for years. Now a MOR affiliate, the Depot Museum's signature display is the 'Oldest Sorehead,' a fully articulated Gryposaurus found near here. The facility's lifelike duckbill dinosaur and egg nest display places you right next to these ancient creatures. Other permanent and changing dinosaur exhibits.
