American Prairie is thrilled to welcome back the ECO-Critters series at the National Discovery Center in Lewistown, in collaboration with ZooMontana.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 9, from 10 AM to 4 PM, when ZooMontana’s expert education team from Billings kicks off the fourth of five exciting visits planned for 2025. This special event will feature live animals from around the globe and offer hands-on learning experiences for guests of all ages.
Part of a free educational program series hosted by the National Discovery Center, ECO-Critters is perfect for anyone curious about Earth’s unique and fascinating wildlife. While the featured animals for this event are still under wraps, previous visitors have met ambassadors such as Wilbur the plains hognose snake, Roxy the western box turtle, Sally the tiger salamander, a Chilean rose hair tarantula, blue feigning death beetles, ball pythons, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, Scout the screech owl, and many more.
Throughout the day, attendees can explore interactive learning stations focused on the animals' habitats and zoo care practices. Visitors are also encouraged to tour the Center’s engaging exhibits on prairie ecosystems, plants, and wildlife. ZooMontana’s Education and Outreach team will be on hand to answer questions and guide guests through up-close animal encounters.
Join us for this unforgettable wildlife experience - free and open to the public!
