About Jumping Creek Campground
Jumping Creek Campground is located in Lewis and Clark National Forest. The campground is well back from US Route 89 on Sheep Creek at an elevation of 5,800 feet. Several of the campsites overlook the creek and most of the 11 campsites are nestled under mature spruce trees. Comfortable is one description for this campground, but there is little understory providing minimal privacy between sites. The campground is convenient for travelers on US Route 89. Sheep Creek is located nearby and hiking trails are accessible into the woods. This is a pack it in, pack it out campsite. Pets are allowed if on a leash. Please limit your stay to 16 days and a small fee is required.
