Enjoy Much Ado About Nothing on Thursday, September 3 at 5:30 PM at the Castle Museum Lawn in White Sulphur Springs.

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks embarks on its 54th season this summer, once again offering free, live theatre to communities across Montana and the surrounding region from June through September. Staged outdoors beneath the open sky, this longtime tradition brings people of all ages together for evenings of storytelling, connection, and shared culture.

The season features two of Shakespeare’s most celebrated works - The Merchant of Venice and Much Ado About Nothing - as the company tours more than 60 towns across five states. Each performance delivers a distinctive experience set against the sweeping expanse of Montana’s Big Sky.

This summer’s Much Ado About Nothing explores the joys and complications of love, the vulnerability of reputation, and the influence of community in shaping how we see one another. Set after a time of conflict, the play follows returning soldiers and their welcoming hosts as they become caught up in romance, playful deception, and shifting perceptions. Through wit and energy, Shakespeare reveals how quickly misunderstandings can take hold - and how honesty, resilience, and compassion can ultimately restore trust and connection.
