ECO-Critters Returns to the National Discovery Center!
American Prairie is excited to announce the return of the popular ECO-Critters series at the National Discovery Center in Lewistown, presented in partnership with ZooMontana.
Join us on Saturday, September 6, from 10 AM to 4 PM, for the final of five animal-filled visits in 2025. ZooMontana’s education team from Billings will bring live animals from around the world, offering an unforgettable hands-on learning experience for all ages.
This free event invites guests to meet fascinating animal ambassadors, explore interactive learning stations, and discover how these creatures live in the wild and are cared for in captivity. While this year’s animal lineup is still a surprise, past favorites have included snakes, turtles, salamanders, owls, tarantulas, exotic insects, and more.
Visitors can also tour the National Discovery Center’s engaging exhibits on prairie plants and wildlife. ZooMontana educators will be on site to answer questions and guide guests through safe, up-close animal encounters.
