The Bair Essentials

Posted May 5, 2009

Central Montana’s pride, The Bair Museum near Martinsdale,  opened for the season May 1st. This coming Saturday FFA students from Plenty Coup High School will raise a tipi and then lead Crow Indian cultural events on the museum grounds.Tipi raising begins at 11am and is open to the public. Traditional Indian tacos and beverages will be available at the Martinsdale Community Center, just a mile away, after the ceremony.

When you arrive at The Bair Museum just off US Hwy 12 between White Sulphur Springs and Harlowton, MT, it appears to be a very well cared for ranch home. It’s all that and much more! The property and collection of famous artwork, European furnishings and artifacts have been appraised by Sotheby’s at $55 million.

The Bair Museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am to 5pm in the month of May.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day it is open seven days a week.
