A Visit to 7 Lazy P Guest Ranch
Posted July 14, 2010
It’s time to move to our next guest ranch. Pine Butte guest ranch is located on the south fork of the Teton River and we’ll go to the north fork and visit 7 Lazy P guest ranch.
After extended goodbyes at Pine Butte, we drive what seems like only about 15 minutes and we are at 7 Lazy P. Owner Chuck Blixrud is patiently waiting at the lodge for us. I’ve known Chuck for many years and I think he still looks the same as when I first met him. I won’t tell Chuck’s age (but I know it) and he wears it well!
Our group gets a tour of the main lodge where meals are served. A bar and several lounging areas adjoin the dining room and of course, a huge fireplace. Everything is log construction and that fits well with this mountain setting.
Up a beautiful staircase is a large meeting room, great for board meetings and corporate retreats. Although the weather is going to change (we are thinking positive) Chuck has a toasty fire going for us and I feel like curling up on one of the sofas and soaking up the warmth. We need to get checked in to our log cabins though and then back for our evening meal.
I take a few minutes to unpack and then I sit back and relish the view out my cabin window. Life is good!
