A Great Community Garden
Posted September 7, 2011
I love to walk by the Pea Pods Neighborhood Community Garden on the lower northside of Great Falls. They’ve done a great job of landscaping in addition to planting one fine garden so it really adds ambience to the residential area. It may not be considered a tourist attraction but I feel visitors value the community spirit and the colorful landscape.
It truly is a community effort, one that took a little lobbying to get started. They needed a small city code change and worked to get over that hurdle, then started planting!
Pea Pods is located on 9th Street North and 3rd Avenue. If you drive by you’ll easily see it.
