Virtual Junior Ranger Programs

Good morning y’all! We are very excited to announce the line-up for our 2020 Junior Ranger programs! This year all our programs will be held virtually either through videos and other content posted on social media or through Zoom classrooms. Information for each program will be posted the Saturday before and any physical materials for the programs will be provided for pick up at the park’s visitor center (some materials can be sent through email upon request). We will be providing 10 programs one each week from June 18th to August 20th. The full schedule is attached to this post and we hope you join us this summer as we try something new!

This year we have a couple of prizes for our Junior Rangers who participate in multiple programs. If a Junior Ranger participates in two programs, they will be awarded a badge and be sworn in as an official Junior Ranger. If they participate in four programs, Junior Rangers will be given a free kite to decorate and fly, perfect for a windy day out at the Jump! If they participate in eight or more programs, they will be entered in a drawing to win an Osprey backpack from Montana State Parks.

To keep track of your completed junior ranger programs, we would love if you took lots of pictures and tagged us in them on Facebook or Instagram! You can also email us pictures of the programs you have done at sarah.norlin@mt.gov. We will also be providing a Junior Ranger journal to document what you have learned during the programs each week. This is also a great way to keep track of all the programs that you have finished. You can even send us pictures of your journal responses for us to keep track of how many programs you have participated in as well!
