Teigen Montana

Teigen is on McDonald Creek near the War Horse National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is a vital habitat for migrating waterfowl as well as a diversity of land animals including deer, elk, antelope, prairie dogs and ferrets. Wild Horse and War Horse Lakes, both north of Teigen, are natural depressions that only occasionally have water. When they are full they provide excellent habitat for waterfowl, and are always home to land animals and upland game birds. Yellow Water Reservoir south of Teigen is managed for crop irrigation.
