In celebration of the National Day of the Cowboy, the Charles M. Russell Museum in Great Falls held an event last weekend called Saddles and Spurs. A lunch break the other day in Gibson Park, one of Great Falls’ most centrally located parks, had me getting my camera out for some photos. I was in Shelby for a meeting yesterday and took some time to explore the town after the meeting. Shelby bills itself as the “Crossroads” – Interstate 15 runs north and south and US Hwy 2 travels east-west and both heavily traveled routes intersect here.
