Fort Benton’s Charm Trail

I was definitely charmed! A couple of weeks ago I was in Fort Benton”, MT and had a fun time exploring their Charm Trail. A Variety of Tourist Activities

We stayed overnight at Virgelle, MT in original homestead cabins, complete with kerosene lantern and a copy of the original property deed. What unique lodging! The Virgelle Merc was busy this morning with several groups getting ready to launch canoes at Coal Banks Landing just one mile downstream. Russell Country Road Trip

Time for a road trip! Follow along with me and several friends who wanted to experience Montana’s Russell Country. The Lewis & Clark National Forest now has motorized use maps available on their website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/lewisclark/projects/motorvehicle-index.shtml A recently adopted travel plan has many changes to motorized roads so caution is urged when recreating on the forest in motor vehicles.
