Walk and Talk: "The Sun Dance Series”

Join artist Gary Schildt for a tour of "The Sun Dance Series: Heart of the Blackfeet People," a remarkable group of 42 paintings representing the most meaningful aspects of the annual Medicine Lodge ceremony, or Sun Dance, celebrated in July by the Blackfeet of Browning. Before Schildt’s tour, Great Falls College-MSU Native American Studies adjunct professor, Don Fish, will give a brief lecture on the Sun Dance tradition. Museum members are invited to a cocktail reception after the tour to continue the discussion with Mr. Schildt and Mr. Fish.
