Food Worth Going To Jail For

That’s what the sign in front of Jail house Pizza says – Food Worth Going To Jail For!

With a marquee like that we decided it was worth a stop. This little restaurant in Harlowton, MT is called Jailhouse Pizza but the menu offers much more than pizza. The business opened the end of December 2010 so they have been tempting tastebuds for almost one year.

And yes, this was a former jail. The bars are still on the windows!

The menu includes pizza, sub sandwiches (homemade bread), a daily special and a variety of wraps.

Our group of three all chose wraps, each a different kind. The menu prices are very reasonable, portions are beyond generous and they were absolutely delicious.

We talked with Katie Wright, owner of Jailhouse Pizza while we were there. She said she has always been interested in cooking and food. Another passion of Katie’s is stained glass work and she has some of it displayed at the restaurant.

The facility is small and cozy. When we arrived at the restaurant another couple was sitting outside on the deck eating lunch but we decided to eat inside since we had been outside golfing for nearly three hours. That gave us a chance to chat more with Katie too.

If you are heading towards Harlowton make sure to plan your trip so you can eat at Jailhouse Pizza. You won’t be disappointed!
