International Migratory Bird Day

The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls, MT will celebrate International Migratory Bird Day Saturday, May 16th. From 9am to 5pm there will be activities that should entice just about anybody.

There will be two guided bird walks, one at 9am, one at 11am. I know the lady leading these walks and she will teach everyone something! Bring your binocs and, of course,  some good walking shoes.

A 98 minute film titled “Winged Migration” will be shown at 10 am at the Center. And, please bring the kids! They can make hawk masks and pinecone bird feeders between 10am and 3pm.

My favorite part of the day will be Vince Yannone presenting a program on migratory birds at 1pm and 3pm. Vince will use live birds in his presentation. He is a biologist and an educator and he has spent quite a few years rehabilitating injured animals. Don’t miss “Mr. Wildlife”!

Call the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center 406-727-8733 for more information.
