Montana Style Events and B&B

Entering Montana Style Events B&B

This week I was in Havre, Montana for a meeting and made good on a promise to visit a new bed and breakfast and an event center.

To get there I drove across Havre’s viaduct and then veered left. It’s a slightly confusing intersection but I made the right choice. Betsi, the owner of the B&B, had given me good instructions on how to get there with plenty of visuals. I saw the sign about birdwatching, then started driving on a gravel road heading west. I was driving on the north side of the Milk River. Havre is on the south side and there are several nice homes in between, close to the river.

The geography was unique – on my left I saw cropland, some deer

grazing and houses. On my right was primarily a badlands area, although very striking. Oh yes, I took photos in both directions!

The B&B and event center are a little over 8 miles after you cross the viaduct. It’s a good gravel road but I soon learned to watch for wildlife on the road – deer, pheasants, raptors and probably more!

When I saw the red metal building on my right I knew I was there! Betsi had given me great directions including watching for a unique decoration on the mailbox where I turned onto the lane leading to the B&B.

The Montana Style Event Center had beautiful signage and also flowers planted at the entrance. Betsi saw me coming and was walking down from her home to greet me as I drove down the country lane.

Cowgirl artwork, beautiful fringed leather on a decorated chest.

I was impressed with the outside of the event center/B&B but when I stepped inside I absolutely couldn’t believe it. Eclectic artwork, unique furnishings and décor that was a cross between cowgirl/cowboy, western and comfy living room. You’ll see from the photos that you almost need to sit down and gradually glance around the room to take it all in.

There is a loft apartment upstairs with a king, full and twin bed. The kitchen and bath are on the main floor. The apartment would be perfect for a family, a group of gals out on a girls weekend, a wedding party or a group of hunters.

Up the hill from the event center I toured a cabin – rustic looking on the outside but decorated to the max on the inside. The only negative with the cabin is the lack of plumbing. Betsi said she is looking at options of adding either an outhouse or plumbing.

floor and the table is flanked with large windows. It was a little after 8pm and as I looked out I saw the beginning of a beautiful sunset.

There have been several weddings and anniversary parties at the event center. It would also be good for a small meeting or retreat. Lots of potential for this unique B&B and event center.

If you are looking for a quiet place in a country setting, but still close to the amenities a town offers, take a look at Montana Style Events and B&B. I think you’ll be impressed.
