Summer Celebration in Fort Benton

Fort Benton’s annual Summer Celebration was this weekend and a great time it was! A free pig roast sponsored by First Security Bank kicked off the event. Several bands played during the afternoon and around 3pm people seemed to be drifting towards Front Street, the street that borders the levee in Fort Benton. A Fisherman’s Paradise

I was recently driving through Loma, MT on US Hwy 87. It’s a pretty small town with a restaurant and convenience store and now there are 2 cabins for overnight rental and 2 more are planned. I stopped and toured the cabins with the owner, who sounds like an avid fisherman. He said these cabins were built by a fisherman, for fishermen! No kidding! The Big Sky Corvette Club sponsored Cruisin’ The Falls corvette meet a few weeks ago at City Motors in Great Falls, MT.
